| Calla Lilies
Calla Lilies, also known as Zantedeschia, are one of my favorite flowers to paint with watercolors. The Calla Lily is made up of tiny, tightly packed yellow flowers on the central spike, surrounded by a white flower bract. The contrast of dark green leaves and white flower bract allows me to paint all of the many shades of white and the subtle parallel lines that can be seen on the bract in the sunlight. Calla Lilies also grow with very interesting curves and indentations.
