Lilies

Lilies are among the most beautiful of flowers, and their beauty is only exceeded by their diversity. It is fascinating to watch a plain looking bud turn into a magnificent flower; I have been drawn to paint these blooms in both watercolors and oils. Their vibrant colors and rich textures make them the most stately and varied of bulbous plants. There is little that can be said about these flowers that can suitably reflect their majestic appearance...a painting is worth a thousand words!
